Comparing China and Japan

Points to consider:

Japan was rebuilding after the devastation of WWII (firebombing and the nuclear bombs and Hiroshima and Nagasaki)

China after WWII was under the strict control of Chairman Mao who had numerous enemies. Mao pursued a strict communist path.

What do you most want to learn about the 'modern world'? What are you most curious about the time from 1960 to today? Everyone must email me at least one thing before Tuesday...mandatory.

I suppose if you want to put your idea on your blog that would be okay also. Just drop me a line that you did so.

Census of the world

If the world was 1000 people...

On your blog...

Find three books about D-Day. Include links and write a brief summary.

Find three video games about D-Day. Include links and write a brief summary of each.

Find three other movies about D-Day. Include links and write a brief summary of each.

Why is D-Day so important in literature and film?

Originally I had combined video games and books when I spoke in class...but then no one would write anything about books....All three media are valid.

See you in class tomorrow!
